Awen Therapy to Present at Beyond The Love

I’m very excited to announce that Awen Therapy, along with Jasmine St. John of JSJ Therapy will be presenting at Beyond The Love in Columbus, OH on November 7, 8 & 9.

Beyond The Love is an event that celebrates polyamory. They provide workshops, social spaces and fun events to support those interested and involved in polyamory. There is something for everyone, from newbies to seasoned veterans.

Jasmine and I will be presenting two workshops:

When the Past Impacts the Present: How past trauma intersects with your present day relationshipsThis workshop explores how the behaviors and emotions that often result from experiencing trauma can cause disconnection, anger, misunderstanding and confusion. We will examine the perspectives of both those that have experienced trauma as well as the experience of their partners. Our goal is that participants will leave the workshop with a better knowledge of how the dynamic works, some strategies for dealing with the situation in helpful ways as well as an idea of the process involved with healing from past trauma.

Relationship Fundamentals: Tools, Tips and Insight for Improving Your Relationships –This workshop is designed to provide additional understanding and perspectives about what is going on in your relationship. We use our years of experience as relationship therapists to give you the tools and tips that have proved most effective in our practice. Our goal is for you to leave with more tools in your toolbox and additional insight into what the issue is and how to best approach it. Come ready with questions!

We are excited to be part of this wonderful event which is co-produced by Karen, Dan & Dawn. Dan & Dawn are the hosts of the nationally known Erotic Awakening podcast which is an informative and entertaining exploration of all things erotic. From sacred sexuality to fetishes, Power Exchange and polyamoary, BDSM to erotic spirituality, non standard relationships to alternative love styles, as well as simply fun kink.
