Intern Melissa Bleiler to Provide Free Therapy

I’m very happy to announce that Melissa Bleiler will be joining me as an intern. Melissa is currently attending UW Whitewater and will be here from now until May of 2016.

I’ll let Melissa tell you about herself —

I hail from a small town in Wisconsin where I share a house with my partner and a cast of furry family members. I have experience living and traveling abroad (including observing indigenous and alternative mental health therapies in Brazil) which has given me some experience of being a stranger in a strange land. I am currently completing my Master’s of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at UW-Whitewater.

I provide sex-positive, systemic counseling with a trauma- and addictions-informed lens to individuals and couples. Areas of focus include alternative sexualities and relationship structures, kink, childfree by choice, women’s sexuality, and non-suicidal self-harm. I also have nine years of experience working with diverse individuals with mood disorders and their partners. I honor the difficult work that my clients undertake to meet their individual needs while providing straightforward, creative, and compassionate guidance.

Beginning September 2 Melissa will be providing therapy at no cost! Her hours are are Mondays and Tuesdays, 6 am – 1 pm and Wednesdays from 1-7 pm. You can contact Melissa at mjb.mft@gmail.com or call 608-960-9602 to discuss appointment possibilities.
