Tip of the Week – Mistakes Help You Learn

/

New research has found that when learning a new task the mistakes we make in the beginning help us become proficient at the task more quickly. While that may not be surprising, what the study also found is that those mistakes carry over to other tasks as well, helping us learn them more quickly. Our brain has the ability to determine which mistakes were more significant and help us adjust in response. The next time you make a mistake, don’t beat yourself up. You are gathering important information for future learning!
