Here’s a little more about Lisa –
Lisa O’Brien is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a B.A. in Behavioral Science and Law and is completing her Masters degree in Professional Counseling at Concordia University Wisconsin. She brings a wide range of experience including, but not limited to, life transitions, grief, and loss, trauma, PTSD, depression, anxiety, domestic violence and intimate partner violence. She has also co-facilitated support groups for intimate partner violence and family members affected by a loved one with dementia.
Lisa‘s counseling philosophy is to create a welcoming environment where clients feel supported and inspired to address areas in their life where they desire deeper insight and personal growth. Her collaborative counseling style embodies elements of many therapeutic approaches including Rogerian, Person-centered and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to help you explore how to live to your highest potential. Lisa embraces diversity and strives to be culturally aware, an ally to clients who identify as LGBTQIQ and a sex-positive therapist.
